Network: MBC
Episodes: 40 (30 minutes of each episode)
Release Date: May 10 - July 13, 2017
My Rating: 8/10

Ruler: Master of the Mask is the historical drama and the lead roles are interesting so many people expect high about this drama. After I finished watching this drama, I think it is not really a historical drama. The acting of actors and actress and great but the characters of second lead role (both male and female) are more outstanding that the first lead roles. Kim So-Hyun got bad criticism in this drama. I think that it's not her fault. Her acting is excellent but the characteristic of Ga-Eun is weak. Ga-Eun is innocent and causes trouble. I like the characters of Lee Sun and Hwa-Goon. L (Infinite) got the different role from other dramas but he did a good job. He can perform the character of Lee Sun in black and dark side well.

This drama has a nice plot but seems unrealistic. At the beginning, I watched this drama because of Seung-Ho and So-Hyun but later I like L and Yoon So-Hee instead because their characters are more interesting.
