Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter - Korean Drama Review

Sun Ok-Nam (Moon Chae-Won) is a 699-year-old fairy. In the Goryeo period, she came down to the world and took the bath but has lost her wings so she cannot ascend to heaven. She married the woodcutter and had a daughter named Jeom-Soon and a son named Jeom-Dol. Later her husband died. She tried to find her wings but cannot. She waits for husband to be reincarnated.

In the present, she  works as a barista and meets two men. She is not sure if one of them is her husband. Both of them works at university in Seoul. Other people see Sun Ok-Nam as old  woman but Kim Geum and Jung Yi-Hyun sometimes see her as young and beautiful woman.

Network: tvN
Episodes: 16
Release Date: November 5 - December 25, 2018
My Rating: 7/10

The first 2-3 episode are interesting. I had many questions about the story and the response is on the second half of the drama but the story is drag. I watched this drama because of Moon Chae-Won. She is beautiful and suited with this role  but I also like other actors and actresses as well. Jo Bong-Dae (the red hair woman) is really a comedian and makes my laugh. Kim Geum (Seo Ji-Hoon) and Kang Mi-Na (Jeom-Soon) are charm.

The lead male role is not obvious at first but after I knew it, I was happy. If you always like the second lead male, you will be happy.

In my opinion, this drama is not bad as I heard many negative comments but the story is so slow and seems unclear in some parts. I skip many scenes in the second half of the drama. There are many unnecessary scenes so it becomes boring. If you are the one who like the fantasy plot, you may love this drama.
